Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports by James Patterson

This is another fun installment with Mr. P’s mutant bird kids – Max, Fang, Gazzy, Iggy, Nudge, Angel and the talking dog, Total. Max’s destiny is to save the world, or at least destroy the evil Itex Corporation which takes scientific experimentation to the next level with mutations and electronics as part of their plan to By-Half the world population with engineered people. Along the way, the flock splits up (oh, no!) and Max finds out who her parents are (really?).

This is not intended to be an intellectual tome. It’s sci-fi in an amusing form, suitable for young and old. The humorous way this is written is a delight.
