Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room

I watched this DVD last night and was astounded at how blatantly Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling and Andy Fastow let their greed take over their lives. And then all three had the audacity to lie to Congress about what they were doing and how well the Enron was allegedly doing. They didn’t give two hoots about their shareholders, their employees or their country. Too bad they weren’t as ashamed as the one guy who committed suicide.

To make matters worse, their accountants and several investment banks bought into their fraud and lied as well. The worst news was that the Bush family helped Ken Lay set up the deregulation of natural gas so Lay could do his dirty deed in California.
