While I was on vacation...
I read some books my friend had and I thought I give you just a short blurb about them here.
Two Lyn Hamilton books were short, but rather blah. The main character is a Toronto antique dealer who travels around the world buying goodies for her shop, sticking her nose in where it doesn’t belong and being rescued from silly harrowing fixes she gets herself into. I’m assuming the stories area all the same and two were more than enough for me. Save your money.
Outlaw in Paradise by Patricia Gaffney is a light-hearted, funny, sexy western set in Paradise, Oregon in the late 1800’s. An enjoyable no-brainer.
The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry is way too long and similar to The DaVinci Code. This just has different bad guys and good guys, but is well-written.
Darker Than Night by John Lutz is another book that’s way too long. He could have shortened it by 100-200 pages and still had a good story. I thought I figured out whodunit, but there’s is a clever surprise.
