Mysteries are my favorites, and...

...James Patterson is one of my favorite mystery writers. The Alex Cross series is his mainstay. The Women's Murder Club series is probably aimed at his female readers, but is good for both sexes, and will soon be a TV show. The Maximum Ride gang provides wild, crazy, funky fun for all ages. In Step on a Crack he introduced a new character which he may or may not continue. He's an award-winning author, and he puts his money where his mouth is by providing awards to schools and corporations who find interesting and exciting ways to promote books and reading. I hope to catch him one day at a book-signing.

Truthfully, I've never read a James Patterson book, but I do know this about him and the authors he associates his name with. They're where they're at in this industry because they're egos match their skills. If only they would run for Congress. Maxine Paetro who co-authored 5th Horseman even took the time to write and say she appreciated a review Nan Kilar and I posted about the book on Amazon.com. Don't remember how many stars we gave the book, but here's five stars for Patterson and Paetro.
