An Inconvenient Truth (the Documentary)
I watched this DVD that Al Gore has put out about global warming. He’s adamant about the possible loss of our planet as we know it in less than 100 years. He provided many graphics showing CO2 emissions, the temperature changes over the ages, how pitiful our cars are compared to other countries, etc. The sights that hit me the most were his pictures of glaciers in many parts of the world…30 years ago and today. The difference is alarming. What’s worse were the pictures of Antarctica and Greenland and the rate they’re both melting. Either island’s demise would raise the oceans 20 inches. That would mean goodbye Florida, San Francisco, Calcutta, Shanghai, Manhattan, life as we know it.

I was never a big fan of Al Gore's until he showed the world and me that he was, for a politician, extremely humble and caring. After election 2000, he literally ran to the youth of America to share his experiences with them. I too, enjoyed and learned from "An Inconvenient Truth".
I wish more people would put aside their political differences with Gore's party, and see the movie for it's own merit. I think Gore has a lot of valid things to say on the environment.
