Almost Dead by Lisa Jackson

Cissy Cahill Holt’s marriage is falling apart, her psycho mother has escaped from prison, and family members are dieing…of unnatural causes. Grandma Cahill is the first to bite the dust, and others who are in the way of the millions in granny’s estate are being eliminated. Who helped mom get out of prison and who is doing all the killing? It’s not a matter of if, but when, Cissy will die.

I hadn’t read the prequel to this book, but it didn’t matter. It’s a fast-paced story, with surprises throughout. I kept trying to figure out whodunit; the reader is given a giant clue, but not the identity of the person. The interspersed thoughts of the person in the coma were interesting touch.
