Moscow Rules by Daniel Silva

A Russian journalist is murdered in a French ski resort. His boss is murdered in Rome when he was trying to contact Gabriel Allon about an alleged nasty Russian plot. Gabriel, master art restorer and master spy, goes to Russia on a false passport to find out what the message was and, of course, gets in trouble. Ivan Kharkov, a Russian real estate developer, venture capitalist and deadly arms dealer, is about to sell weaponry to al-Qaeda. Against his wishes, Gabriel must stop this sale.

In this tale, Gabriel matches wits with Kharhov who will stop at absolutely nothing to get his way. Old friends from past stories join Gabriel as he plots and plans his ‘attack’ on Kharkov. Will Gabriel be reunited with his new bride? Will Gabriel live?

This is another good story filled with action, suspense and some Russian history.
