The Sleeping Doll by Jeffrey Deaver

Daniel Pell is a control freak and lethal cult leader who escapes from prison. Kathryn Dance is an investigator and kinesics (body language) specialist with the California Bureau of Investigation. The two had matched wits in an interrogation room before his escape.

Kathryn is told to head-up Pell’s capture and thus the story plays out. There are lots of characters and surprising twists and turns throughout the story. Kathryn’s character is well-developed; the sleeping doll comes to life; just when you think the story is over….

How this author can continually come up with exciting twists is amazing.
